My Graduation

|

Thursday, October 10th, 2013. It was the greatest moment of my life (so far). It was my graduation day. After 3 years struggled studying in my college, Sekolah Tinggi Akuntansi Negara (STAN) (Indonesian State College of Accountancy), I finally made it. I'd like to say many thanks to Allah, my mom and dad, and all of my friend that had given their support to me.

The event took place in Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor. My family and I went there by car. We departed from my uncle's house in Bintaro at 03.00. It took 2 hours to take us to SICC. As soon as we arrived there, we did the registration and entered the building. It was so crowded since the place was visited by about 10.000 people.

The event started at 07.00. There was a part of the event series when Mr. Chatib Basri, the minister of finance, graduated 12 best students. I wondered how happy they were. But although I didn't get the commendable predicate, I got the 467th rank from about 1.200 accounting students by the way, I'd still feel happy.

The whole series of the event went solemnly till it ends at 14.00. From that moment on, I am not a student anymore. I gathered with some of my college friends before we left SICC and then left Jakarta. I hope that wasn't the last time I meet them. We will be the successor to the national financial manager. We are the generations of Indonesian's future. This graduation is not the end of our struggle. It was a start of something bigger that will need a bigger effort. Hopefully I, we, all of us can give our best in order to bring Indonesia toward prosperity.

Note: I must admit that my English is poor.
